Get set for Market Day! Campbell Road, Campbell Place and the Great Court at UQ's St Lucia Campus are transformed into a street market with countless stalls, barbeques, entertainment, giveaways and demonstrations. It's fun and all free!
This action packed day features hundreds of stalls, lots of freebies and thousands of students all out and about finding what to do on campus and just enjoying the atmosphere.
Joining a club or society is the best way to meet fellow students who share similar interests to you. It can also enhance your social life while studying at UQ. Club stalls will be on display in the Great Court and include everything from general, political, departmental, religious, sporting, and international clubs. These clubs all operate on campus and can be joined on Market Day.
UQ UNION
UQU is all about making Market Day one of the best days in your uni calendar! In addition to the huge number of UQU clubs and societies on display we have organised countless stalls with entertainment, giveaways, demonstrations, competitions, and games - and the best bit... it’s all FREE!
Market Day is the perfect opportunity to get connected! You will find Clubs and Societies strutting their stuff and touting for members in the Great Court. So make sure you join one of the 190+ UQU affiliated clubs or societies with over 35,000 student members.
Our Clubs and Societies enhance your social life, so be sure to join at least one on Market Day to enjoy the huge array of social gatherings such as BBQs, Club Balls, Dinners, Movie nights, Pizza nights, Industry nights and Red Room Sessions that constitute a club’s social calendar. There is a club to suit everyone from international clubs and departmental clubs to clubs that cater for the quirkiest hobby.
Once you find a club that suits, venture down Campbell Place and into Campbell Road to find fun entertainment, games and stacks of giveaways and visit the wonderful Wednesday Markets. Within the UQU Complex you can indulge your sweet cravings in the Lolly Shop, grab a bite in the Main Course Food Precinct, share a pizza from the Pizza Caffé or challenge your new friends to a game of pool in The Red Room.

UQ SPORT
How do you want to play at UQ? Come and say hi to UQ Sport at Market Day and get all the information you need to keep active at UQ. UQ Sport tents will be set up in Campbell Place and the Great Court ready to provide you with details about UQ’s sporting facilities, programs and events. If joining a sporting club interests you, then visit the Great Court and meet members and officials from some of UQ’s biggest and best clubs.

Visit UQconnect on Market Day to find out about the IT services available to help with your study at UQ and pick up some UQconnect freebies while you're there. HelpDesk staff will be there to answer your questions about UQconnect's Internet services and products to get you connected.

Student Services
The University also invites many stallholders on Market Day to help students familiarise themselves with the services and facilities they are likely to use while studying at UQ. Student service organisations will be there. Student Services, UQ Abroad, Information Technology Services and the Multi-faith Chaplaincy Service are just a few of the many University areas represented on the day.
