Please join us for the HaBS Welcome and Information Session for commencing postgraduate, mature-age and return-to-study UQ students.  This session will target postgraduate students, students who have not studied for a long period of time, older students, and students who are already familiar with studying at UQ

Recommended for:

  1. Students who have already studied at UQ, but are commencing a postgraduate program
  2. Students who are commencing an undergraduate program and:

* Have had a long break (>2years) between formal study

* Are not recent high-school leavers

* In different life stages, or have additional commitments to study, such as employment, or parenting/caring duties, or

* Are already qualified in one field but are pursuing a career change

We know UQ is big place to navigate so let us help you get off to a great start. We will provide you with an overview including where your School fits into the Faculty and UQ overall. It will be a great opportunity to meet some like-minded students from throughout Health and Behavioural Sciences, and understand how the Faculty can support you in your journey.

Session will include:

  • Welcome from HaBS Faculty Executive leadership
  • Strategies for academic success
  • Mini-expo outlining UQ's student support services
  • Popcorn and Panel Q&A session with current students
  • Networking with staff and peers
  • Afternoon Tea
  • And more!
