Queensland’s beautiful beaches are famous across the world, but it’s important to recognise they can be a dangerous place at times. In the past ten years, there have been 78 drownings at Queensland beaches and, of these, 38 were international tourists or migrants.

This free information session is presented by Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ), and will provide you with vital information to keep you safe at the beach and amongst the waves.  SLSQ will be providing students with some translated resources containing safety information to raise awareness on how to protect yourself and others.  They will help ensure your next trip to the beach is memorable for all the right reasons.

Highly recommended for all international students studying at UQ.
