2021 School of Dentistry Orientation Program
Orientation for BDSc(Hons) first year students will be held at the UQ Oral Health Centre, 288 Herston Road, Herston in the week commencing Monday, 15 February 2021. It is compulsory that all students located in Brisbane attend the orientation sessions on Monday, 15 February and Tuesday, 16 February at the UQ Oral Health Centre. For off-shore students unable to attend in-person, all orientation sessions will be zoomed (except School tour and scavenger hunt) (check local time zones with Brisbane time). Recordings of School/UQ sessions and some student sessions will be made available as well as a virtual tour of the School. Powerpoint presentations will also be made available.
‘Getting Started - Your First Few Weeks at UQ’ online (Zoom) and in-person sessions at St Lucia campus have been scheduled at St Lucia campus. This orientation is compulsory for all new international students and recommended for domestic students. Students can attend ‘Getting Started’ in-person sessions and other UQ orientation events at St Lucia campus on Wednesday, 17 February. Students will need to register for Zoom and in-person sessions for ‘Getting Started’.
The Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences (HaBS) will be welcoming all new students (including School of Dentistry students) to the Faculty and providing activities at St Lucia campus and online on Thursday, 18 February.

Getting Started ‘Getting Started’ orientation which is provided by UQ Student Services is compulsory for new international students and also recommended for domestic students. A number of online and in-person sessions are being made available during UQ Orientation week (O-Week).
