Most of the Faculty of Science Orientation sessions will take place during Science Orientation Day on Friday 19 February 2021.

The day consists of three key compulsory sessions for all undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students starting their studies at the Faculty of Science in Semester 1, 2021:

  1. Science Welcome and Induction: you will hear from current students, meet your peers and future friends, and find out how to make a successful start to your studies. For external students, this session will be held online. For on-campus students, the in-person session includes lunch and a tour of important science facilities. The tour will finish in a computer laboratory where you can attend your online Program Information Session in the company of other new students.
  2. Program Information Sessions: in this online session, you will meet your program coordinator and other students in your program, find out about your program structure and opportunities during your studies, and hear from current students in your program.
  3. International Welcome Session (for commencing international students only): in this online session, you will learn about important dates in the academic calendar, how to enrol, understanding your timetable, how to plan your study, online class delivery, and where to get help. If you have applied for credit transfer (advanced standing), you will also get advice on how to select your courses.

The registrations for on-campus events have now closed.
