Whether you are taking part in campus tours, attending a welcome BBQ or would prefer to take it easy and soak up the atmosphere in our first-year hang out zones, there will be something for everyone. O-Week is an important step to starting university so make sure you get involved! Come along and explore #uqlife.

Connect Week 23 – 27 July


    Connect Week is about making connections at university that last a life time. This is your opportunity to connect with your peers, teachers, clubs and societies and more. Speed Friending, The Long Table Dinner, UQ Sport games and events, and the Inter-Faculty competition are just some of the highlights of this week.

    Market day is one of the main events in Connect Week and will be taking place on Wednesday 25th July at St Lucia, and Thursday 26 July at Gatton. Market Day is not to be missed with hundreds of stalls highlighting internal and external services, clubs, societies and programs for students to get involved in. There will be lots of freebies, competitions and chances to sign up for memberships, events, sporting teams and more!

    The Natural Amphitheatre at St Lucia will continue to be a focal point for new Students and campus activities throughout the week.

Success Week 30 July – 3 August


    Success Week will ensure you have the building blocks to make your studies a success. This week will feature learning workshops, job fairs, volunteer opportunities and networking areas to help you supercharge your degree. This week will also showcase a number of global experiences you can be a part of at UQ and can help you connect with future employers.
